We were called in to remove six large Queen Palm trees around a swimming pool in Papakura. These trees are very heavy and while they were beautiful they were causing havoc in the pool below. Access was the main challenge here: we used a crane in the next door neighbour’s driveway to hang from and dismantle the palms one section at a time. We chipped them all up and left the site clean and tidy.

Unfortunately a pōhutukawa tree became unstable and needed to be removed so the jetty could be repaired. Using a HIAB crane, the pōhutukawa was cut back to just above the waterline as per the council arborist report to allow for regrowth while still stabilising the bank. It will be enjoyed by generations to come.

A concerned customer called regarding their Mature Oak tree that had split in half. After careful assessment, we had no choice but to remove it due to the stem inclusion failure. This was devastating for the client. Their only ask was that we didn’t damage the rest of their mature garden in the process. Assembling the right team, we managed to lift out the old Oak safely and efficiently, getting it all chipped up and processed for the client in an eight hour window.

This was a massive clean up job on a creek bed after Cyclone Gabrielle. A huge amount of damage was caused and trees were left blocking a waterway that backed onto many properties. After some discussion with residents it was decided we’d commence the clean-up during the peak of summer so there was no risk of getting machinery stuck. Over three days we cut and chipped up 60 large, wind-thrown trees leaving the site clean and tidy for the civil contractors to get on with the water way diversion project.
